Business Education & Marketing Education Teacher

The Entrepreneurship and Business Academy at Kempsville High School opened in the Fall of 2016. Qualified applicants possess or will be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in both Marketing Education & Business & Information Technology for the 2018 - 2019 school year. Candidates with a Masters' degree or post graduate coursework in business, marketing, or finance are preferred.

Outstanding candidates have a willingness and desire to assist in creating and developing academy course programming in the areas of business, finance, and entrepreneurship. Candidates must possess or be willing to pursue a variety of industry certifications in the areas of business and marketing for this EBA position.

Candidates must also be willing to participate in the Babson College Symposium for the Entrepreneurship Educators and other professional development after being hired into this position.

Potential courses to be taught in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year include (but are not limited to): Advanced Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Accounting, and Advanced Accounting. For this reason a Business & Information Technology active teaching endorsement is also needed for this Marketing Education * Business & Information Technology EBA position.

Applicants applying to this position must be licensed to teach all Business Education and Marketing Education courses taught at the high school level, which means being licensed in Marketing Education and Business & Information Technology.
