• This special education assistant will assist the special education teacher in meeting the diversified needs of students with various disabilities. As a part of this
assignment, you will be required to assist in classroom modifications, communication with regular and special education staff, provide structure and feedback, and
work with other students as assigned.
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to meet the needs of all children.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality relating to students and families.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Substitutes will work on an as needed basis.
O070 - Special Education Program Aide License - must possess or have requirements to apply for DPI license - License will be applied for during new hire process, if not already licensed.
. Minimum two years post secondary education, or 48 credit hours of education post high school.
. Associate degree or higher preferred
. Experience in the education field helpful.
. Red Cross training and/or CPR/AED training preferred, but not required
. Minimum of 1 year working with children. Prefer experience in working with children with special needs.
