Teacher Aide - 25 hours - Temporary - Forest

25 hours per week
Initial hours of assignment: 11:00am - 2:00pm
Dates of assignment: ASAP through 6/21/18

Duties:
~Work with children with special needs
~Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and special education teachers
~Assist with toileting needs....lifting may be required
~Work independently when teacher is busy teaching
~Other school related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
~Must be willing to work with children with special needs
~Must be willing to work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and special education teachers
~Must be able to lift the child and help with toileting needs and other specific personal duties related to children with special needs
~Must be able to easily follow directions and work independently when teacher is busy teaching
~Must be willing to work with small groups
~Must display a warm, caring attitude and approach
~Must have an understanding of the special needs of students
~Must have strong communication skills
~Must have ability to maintain confidentiality on student related issues.
~Must have at least one year experience working with school aged children.
