FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
The position involves varied work in the design, development, analysis and implementation of data and database solutions; provides application support for school district personnel; coordinates support issues between district and vendors; tests and documents new software features, supports and maintains custom reports and supports others in their use; Position also requires customer service skills as well as problem-solving technology issues, hardware/software support, and fixing issues in the field.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Understands a wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts
  • Develops documentation and procedures to improve networking, communications and end-user experiences.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains contracted hardware and software.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Coordinates repairs with vendors and installs equipment as requested by customers and tech support team.
  • Logs and maintains electronic database of district purchased equipment.
  • Logs problems into electronic ticketing system to assist with problem determination and resolution. Refer unresolved tickets to tech support team.
  • Provides technical assistance to our customers via telephone, email, remote access, text messaging, and web sessions to resolve their issues as promptly as possible.
  • Monitors a variety of district hardware and software. Maintains daily and historical database of all problems related to various equipment and/or installations
  • Sends immediate notifications of outages or maintenance to employees and customers when relevant.
  • Travels to building sites where students, teachers and administrators are present to fulfill work orders. Must hold a valid driver license.
  • Delivers consistently high levels of customer service ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress, and handling customers with a professional attitude.
  • Installation of technical equipment and associated components such as audio/visual, computer and peripherals.
  • Provides off-hour coverage as requested.
  • Attends required training from district or vendors as requested.
  • Other job related duties as may be assigned by your immediate supervisor.
