DESCRIPTION:
Intermediate District 287 is hiring a School Counselor for Care and Treament for Headway North. Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, this class is accountable for promoting student success, providing preventive services, and responding to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in counseling or closely related field. Two years of professional level experience working with special education or At-Risk students preferred.

Must have experience with high needs populations, special education, restorative practices, transcript and credit evaluation, career and college readiness and willingness to take on new challenges.
