CARE EDUCATION ASSISTANT- INCLUSION
Hiring Pay Range: $13.12 - $13.92 DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Part-time during after-school hours
Location: Sunrise Drive Elem School, Manzanita Elem School, Canyon View Elem School or Ventana Vista Elem School
Target Start Date: July 22, 2019

Tasks:
One-on-one support for special needs children who attend the CARE afterschool program.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Skill in safely lifting, moving and working with special needs students.
Skill in using specialized tools such as adaptive computer software, adaptive therapy equipment and augmentative communication devices.
Skill in communicating effectively, orally and in writing.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, administrators, students and parents.
Associates degree and six months of working with special needs children preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Special Requirements :
CPR certificate and First Aide certificate are required within two (2) years of hire.

These positions can be combined with another classified school position to increase FTE and benefit coverage.
