DESCRIPTION:
Intermediate District 287 is seeking qualified candidates for a Special Education Teacher position. This position is accountable for providing support and consult for educational teams in our site based programs as well as our member districts with identified students who have challenging or interfering behaviors, or significant emotional, and/or behavioral needs in the classroom and other instructional environments.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience working with at-risk youth. Must be trained in district-approved positive behavioral strategies used to prevent and de-escalate behavior or agree to complete the training within a designated time-frame.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education in special education with the preference for an applicant who also holds a valid ASL license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education
