Dothan City Schools will be accepting applications beginning April 9, 2018 for the following position. High School Principal

Northview High School

(Principal Position is 12-Month – Starting July 1, 2018)

Applicants for this position should have the following items on file in the Personnel Department (or online) in order to be considered:

  1. State of Alabama Certified Application which can be accessed at www.alsde.edu
  2. Possess a master’s degree or above
  3. Possess, or be able to obtain upon employment, a valid Alabama Instructional Leadership Certificate
  4. Reference forms
  5. Transcripts
  6. Writing sample completed in the Personnel Department; and
  7. A current resume
  8. Proof of at least three years teaching experience and three years administrative or supervisory experience at the school/district level

    Incomplete applicant files are ineligible for consideration for this position.

Salary for this position is based on degree and experience according to the Dothan City Schools Certified Personnel Salary Schedule. The supplement for principal shall be added as indicated on the supplementary salary scale.   

Applicants already employed by Dothan City Schools should submit all of the information listed above.  Following the receipt of all application materials, the materials will be carefully screened and candidates will be selected for interviews.  These and other steps will be taken prior to a recommendation by the Superintendent to the Board of Education for appointment to the position.

The Superintendent may recruit qualified applicants past the deadline for this position, and the position will remain open and applications will be received until the position is filled.  The Board of Education, upon the Superintendent’s recommendation, may approve an in-system lateral transfer to an existing vacancy and fill the resulting vacancy through the normal screening, interviewing, and recommendation process.
