SLP positions are available at multiple locations including k-12 schools, preschool and Meadowood program. Experience serving students with autism and facilitating use of AAC devices is highly desirable.

Overview: The key role of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is to identify students with a communication disorder that may adversely affect a child's educational performance and/or to address the communication needs of students who have been identified as needing Speech Language Services within our Red Clay Schools.

Duties:
  • Assess students to identify potential communication deficits/needs
  • Generate, implement, and monitor Individualized Educational Programs
  • Work as a member of the IEP team/ Ability to operate in a team environment
  • Plan and provide services for students with intellectual disabilities including significant Speech/Language needs
  • Collaborate and consult with parents, teachers, and other school staff
  • Maintain case records for students
  • Write evaluation reports
  • Communicate with school representatives
  • Provide transdisciplinary speech and language services within the natural context of the school day
  • Knowledge of AAC and AT
  • Complete Cost Recovery Documentation
  • Can prioritize daily responsibilities in order to address students' strengths and needs


Qualification:
  • Masters Degree (will consider Clinical Fellowship)
  • Must meet certification requirements for Speech Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Professional License for Speech Language Pathologist
