Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) as a Learning & Development Consultant. The position will report directly to the Manager of Learning & Development and will be responsible for all aspects related to designing, developing, delivering, evaluating, tracking, and maintaining learning content to support learning and development needs for our Service Center team members.

In this role you will work out of our corporate headquarters (Service Center) located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The NHA Service Center is where all the behind-the-scenes magic happens. Our 350 brilliant team members are brag-worthy. With a diverse group of departments like admissions, talent acquisition, facilities, legal services, and many more working together to provide top level back-office support. The Service Center is a place of bright colors, smiling faces, and opportunity. We like to gather for events such as the fall crocktoberfest cook-off, the sparkling Christmas party full of fun and unexplainable excitement, and our annual 5K Service Center fun run.

Your Role

  • Collaborate with Service Center leaders to scope and prioritize learning and development needs
  • Design, develop, and execute learning solutions that support the achievement of business objectives
  • Facilitate face-to-face learning sessions for various audiences, primarily at the Service Center
  • Ensure cost-effective design and implementation of learning programs
  • Measure and evaluate solutions to ensure relevance, desired outcomes, and continuous improvement
  • Lead all aspects of the onboarding program for new Service Center employees
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain curricula for individual contributor learning programs
  • Support tracking of participation in learning programs
  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to deliver "expert-led" learning opportunities
  • Focus all learning solutions on improving performance outcomes and business results
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, instructional design, training and development, or related field
  • 2-4 years experience designing and delivering learning solutions (highly preferred)
  • Working knowledge of principles/methods for adult learning, curriculum design, training facilitation, participant engagement, brain science, and measurement of training outcomes
  • Proven ability to measure and evaluate learning through data gathering and metrics (preferred)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation and facilitation skills
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, including relational capacity, emotional intelligence, and active listening
  • Strong self-management and project management skills
  • A curious mind and a passion for continuous personal learning and development
  • Proficiency with technical tools / various software (general, presentation, training, graphics/imaging, video / audio editing, and learning management systems)
