Role Mission:
The Special Programs Project Manager will assist in various special program duties in order to ensure that we are following state and federal compliance for our students in special programs, as well as, providing the best instructional support through exceptional student support plans.

Accountabilities

1

Maintain 100% compliance of state and federal guidelines for ELL students
  • Work with Powerschool team to ensure accurate PEIMS coding for our ELL population
  • Create an auditing system by which all ELL documentation is present in the ELLevation online platform to pass internal/external audits
  • Create business partnerships with the campus ELL point persons for documentation accountability
  • Assist in gathering data to submit our annual ESL/Bilingual waiver

Oversee SHARS Medicaid billing for our teachers and related service personnel so that 100% of billing is complete on a monthly basis
  • Work with our SHARS business partners to provide training to our staff
  • Monthly audits of SHARS submissions to include follow up to ensure 100% participation
  • Attend all Random Moment Time Study (RMTS) training sessions
  • Update SHARS participant lists quarterly

Build key special education business partnerships with other departments at the national level
  • Work effectively with the transportation team to ensure coordination of special education transportation services and contract service transportation
  • Work effectively with the health services team to ensure coordination of special education health services and contract health services
  • Work effectively with the business office and grants personnel in order to ensure time and effort documentation is gathered
  • Work effectively with Student Information Team to assist in auditing that all 504 and Special Education students are coded accurately.

Oversee district implementation of the Kurzweil online testing program
  • Ongoing business partnership with the Assessment team to ensure coordination for Bi-Weekly Assessments and Interim Assessments to be entered in the Kurzweil system
  • Creating all campus and student files in the Kurzweil program
  • Entering and editing all assessments in the Kurzweil program so that they can be accessed for oral administration
  • Ongoing partnership with special education teachers and ELL point people who will need these accounts for their students

Coordinate logistics for Special Programs Course Collaborations and other trainings
  • Work closely with the AST project manager to enter logistics for Interventionist, Special Education, and Life Skills teacher trainings
  • Navigate Cornerstone platform to follow up on attendance and ensure all trainings are accurately entered for participants
  • Assist in the planning of locations, meals, and set up of Special Program trainings
