Job Responsibilities:

The School Psychologist is responsible for the administration and interpretation of all psychometric tests and projective protocols. In addition, the School Psychologist is responsible for keeping all testing current. Each child must be tested routinely every three years, and as requested. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparing written reports of test results and recommendations for treatment, meeting with treatment teams (academic teacher/counselors, social workers, etc.) to discuss and interpret testing, being available for consultation by teachers, social workers, and other staff members, consulting with and being available to tutors, keeping abreast of current literature in the field, meeting with occupational therapists, speech therapists, attending and participating in staff meetings and case conferences, CSE meetings and any other meetings required to support child treatment, and meeting with parents to discuss child's progress/treatment. Some opportunity to explore specific areas of interest including therapy, research and teaching.Experience and interest in working with a special needs population is desired. Testing experience with the WISC-V, the WIAT-III, the KTEA-3, the WAIS-IV and the BASC-3 is required.

Job Qualifications:

Master's in School or Clinical Psychology, Doctorate preferred. NY State Certification as School Psychologist or eligible for NYS license certification as a Psychologist. Testing experience with the WISC-V, the WIAT-III, the KTEA-3, the WAIS-IV and the BASC-3 is required.
