Additional Job Information: Qualifications:
---Must meet minimum qualifications for provisional appointment for Coordinator, Policy Services
A.) Master's Degree in Business, Public Administration or Education and 1 year of
governmental research/communications work or K-12 school experience, or;
B.) Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of governmental research/communications work or K-12 school experience,
---Excellent research and writing skills required.
---Must be highly organized with strong customer service skills.
---Experience with K-12 schools a plus..

This is a Civil Service classified position that will require the successful candidate at a later date to take an exam and score successfully in order to maintain the position

Coordinator, Policy Services - Erie 1 BOCES
A coordinator of Policy Services provides assistance to school districts throughout New York state in the area of policy development; develops and maintains school board policies, administrative manuals, and specialty handbooks for client school districts; researches law, regulations and other relevant policy matters as to their impact on school operations; responds to policy-related inquiries from participating school districts; conducts professional development workshops and facilitation on policy, regulations and procedures for client school district personnel including Board members, administrators and teachers; assists in development of policy and administrative updates and other relevant documents that support the services of the department; instructs school districts in complying with federal and state mandates; informs staff of any legislative directives/changes and the legal implications of these mandates; assists in evaluating present department services and developing new services.
