Associate Director of Alternative and Special Education
LoGuidice Educational Center - Fredonia, NY
Probationary Appointment- 1.0 FTE
The qualified candidate will assist the Director of Alternative and Special Education in the execution and administration of budget and program development, professional development planning, staffing decisions and supervision of administrators. The Associate Director may also have authority to act on behalf of the Director in his/her absence. The Associate Director will report to the Director of Alternative and Special Education.

Qualifications Required:
- Candidates must possess New York State Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL)
- Minimum 5 years in Special Education with teaching experience with students with disabilities preferred
- Minimum of 2 years administrative experience
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience in leading a strong educational program
- Experience in providing career pathways for high school and adult students
- Understanding of the Regents Reform Agenda and SED Initiatives to implement the Common Core Learning Standards in support of special education programs and services
- Ability to implement best practices and communication strategies
- Capability to coordinate and complete tasks simultaneously to meet internal and external deadlines
