The Instructional Talent Acquisition Manager will implement the recruitment strategy and develop talent pipelines to meet the current and future hiring needs for both teachers and school leader roles. The Instructional Talent Acquisition Manager will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent for Breakthrough Schools. The Instructional Talent Acquisition Manager will also manage and provide direction for our University and Teach for America (TFA) Partnership. The Instructional Talent Acquisition Manager will work closely with the Non-Instructional Talent Acquisition Manager and School Leaders and will report to the Chief Talent Officer.
Essential Job Functions:
Recruitment Strategy:
    Support the implementation of the Breakthrough Schools recruitment strategy and practices, specifically targeting high quality teachers and school leaders Understand the needs of the school leaders to refine talent profiles and ensure presentation of the best candidates Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleges and universities, networks, organizations, and individuals with the goal of attracting high-caliber candidates Create innovative, best-in-class recruitment tactics to enable us to attract and engage the top academic talent across the country Manage a competitive recruitment marketing campaign that includes online job posting, social media campaigns, brochures, recruitment events and other activities Cultivate a diverse network of talent - Proactively leverage networks and strategic talent pipelines to build a diverse talent bench
Attraction & Selection:
    Demonstrate and articulate a thorough understanding of Breakthrough Schools and communicate enthusiastically to candidates the benefits and merits of working at Breakthrough Schools and its member schools Build awareness and rapport with potential candidates, college/university faculty and staff to support Breakthrough Schools as an "employer of choice" Represent Breakthrough Schools at networking events, conferences, career fairs, meetings, community outreach events articulating and fostering awareness of Breakthrough's mission Manage applicant and selection databases (UltiPro Recruiting and HireVue); generate and analyze recruitment reports on a regular basis Track metrics/utilize data to assess effectiveness of recruiting efforts for process improvement Stay current with NCLB, State, Charter and local credentialing requirements
University Partnerships:
    Mobilize and invest university faculty members, career service representatives, advisors, national organization partners, and other key gatekeepers to help execute an effective recruitment campaign Build and maintain strong relationships with local university education departments to welcome teacher residents and practicum students to our schools Act as a liaison to university partners, helping to ensure that course sequence aligns with learning standards and apprenticeship experience Provide overall direction and program management for the Cleveland Urban Teacher Residency (CUTR) program
Teach for America (TFA):
    Build and maintain a strategic TFA partnership to identify, engage and retain high potential TFA Corps Members placed within the Breakthrough Schools network Facilitate placement process for incoming Corps Members Actively recruit TFA Alumni for employment opportunities Host social events seeking to engage and inform TFA Alum regarding the various employment opportunities available in the network

Education and/or Experience:
    Bachelor's degree required At least three years' experience working in a high-performing school as a recruiter, teacher, or administrator At least three years' experience recruiting for a nonprofit organization At least three years of project management experience Experience in charter schools highly preferred
