Full Time Certified Teacher

We are looking to bring in a full time teacher to work at our behavioral health facility in Dover, DE. The position involves working with students K-12 in a small classroom setting to help support them academically while they are out of school and receiving treatment.

The ideal candidate will have experience and be skilled at working with a diverse student population as well as possess strong content knowledge in the core academic subjects. The ideal candidate will be very well-organized and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Provide 4 hours of daily instruction in a classroom setting: 3 hours of instruction with the adolescent units, and 1 hour with the child unit.
• Plan lessons and materials to meet different levels and needs of students
• Complete daily student goal reports and attendance
• Collect, organize, and return completed schoolwork
• Communicate with district/school personnel to obtain verification and gather schoolwork

Qualifications:

• Valid DE teaching certification required
• Comfortability working with students K-12 (position will mostly be working with adolescents)

This role is a full time (8 hour day), 12 month position. We have an immediate opening and are looking for someone to start within the month of April. Compensation is an annual salary based on experience. Benefits include personal time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks.
