Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the BVS Preschool Admissions process, Coordination and communication of all IEP mandates with staff and organizing and training staff and administration of the Preschool annual review process
Essential Job Duties:
  • Directly supervises the Preschool Admissions Administrative Staff
  • Agency liaison with school districts and the county for Preschool admissions process
    • Maintain ongoing communication with districts to communicate any program openings in Early Education programs
    • Monitors program census to ensure census is maintained
    • Coordinate intake of all students from Early Childhood programs
    • Review evaluations, social history, etc. to determine appropriate placement within the early education program
  • Coordinates and initiates preschool intake process with families and Preschool staff and administration:
    • Conduct registration process by completing enrollment paperwork and providing school tours to parents & students.
    • Ensures parents have completed registration information.
    • Forwards completed registration information to educational and therapy staff involved in the students' IEP mandates.
    • Ensures medical information is provided to the school nurse. School nurse will then request and receives physical and immunization records from school district and/or doctor
    • Communicate new enrollment as required to all staff
  • Discharge students from Preschool program:
    • Alert district and complete BVS discharge paperwork
    • Coordinates and processes IEP amendment requests with districts
    • Assist Principals with Annual reviews and CPSE meetings
  • Ongoing monitoring of students IEP mandates:
    • Review all new and returning students IEP's & ensure that services, service levels, ratios, program salutations, goals, program dates, behavior plans etc. are correct according to admission forms or annual review meeting minutes
    • Oversee that all IEP's are current and shared with the agency by districts on IEP direct
    • Contact districts if errors on IEP's are found and need to be corrected
    • Ensure that IEP's are implemented and all services are being provided (IEP implementation form)
    • Ensure that STAC's are received and are correct so that proper payment will be received from the county
    • Distribute IEP's & STAC's to the billing department (Rebecca)
    • Distribute IEP's to all service providers
  • Coordinate and Initiate Annual Review process
    • Coordinate and train Principals and Education Coordinators to oversee that consistent procedures are being followed at each building
    • Monitor IEP direct for quality and cohesiveness of information submitted by all service providers
    • Ensure all final drafts on IEP direct are complete and correct before being submitted to districts
    • Ensure meeting minutes are complete and handed in after all CPSE meetings
  • Develop policies and procedures and facilitate and coordinate changes and training with principals and education coordinators in Early Education on:
    • Annual review policy and procedure
    • Quarterly District reports
    • Provide/organize in-service training on the use of IEP direct and writing an IEP
Required Education: Master's degree in Education

Required Experience : 5 years teaching experience in preschool. E xtensive knowledge in writing preschool IEPs and extensive knowledge on the preschool CSPE process and intake.
