Richland School District One is seeking a transformational leader to successfully lead and direct the human resources functions within a highly competitive and progressive public school district. Assigned human resources operations of the district, include, but are not limited to recruitment and retention functions, orientation, employee processing, compensation, benefits administration, substitute services, and personnel records management. Strategic leadership skills are needed to recruit, employ, evaluate, retain and develop over 4,000 employees. Excellent interpersonal relations, communications, and problem solving skills are required to work collaboratively with applicants, employees, administrators, parents, and students. This position reports directly to the Superintendent of schools and serves as a part of the district's Executive Leadership Team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree from an accredited college of university in education administration, business, or human resources or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experiences that provides the necessary skills, abilities, and knowledge; minimum of five-seven years of successful and progressive work experience; ability to work in a diverse public school setting; knowledge of federal, state, and district policies, regulations, and standards related to personnel management

Successful leadership experience in a diverse public school setting; demonstrated record of effective leadership and ability to navigate complex issues and drive organizational change in a culturally diverse organization; ability to work effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex, multi-layered organization
