Position Summary/Purpose:

Physical therapy positions are itinerant; therpists travel to multiple assigned school sites for the provision of physical therapy services.

A Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates student performance in areas such as gross motor, mobility, balance, motor coordination, daily living and vocational skills. The PT documents evaluation results, establishes functional goals and develops intervention plans. In collaboration with others, the PT implements physical therapy sevices in accordance with each student's individual Education Plan or 504 Plan. The PT provides training to classroom staff members as needed and engages in ongoing assessment of student progress.
