SUBJECT: HOME AND HOSPITAL AUTISM HOME SERVICES COORDINATOR

ANTICIPATED START DATE: IMMEDIATELY

REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Special Education and/or District-Wide Special Education Department Head Behavioral Intervention Specialist

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

The Autism Home Services Coordinator will work collaboratively with the District-Wide Autism Department Head Behavioral Specialist, Principal, Special and Regular Education Teachers, Support Staff, and Families to ensure that the delivery of IEP services are being provided with fidelity in their home ABA program in accordance to student's individualized education program. Autism Home Services Coordinator will also provide direct supervision, training and support to the Autism Home Services Support Personnel to monitor the delivery of home ABA services for students with Autism and other related emotional/developmental disabilities within the home. Autism services will be based on the principles of applied behavior analysis including the modification of environmental variables, behavior reduction procedures, systematic instruction (e.g., discrete trial teaching, incidental instruction) to teach new and/or adaptive skills, and the maintenance and generalization of skills.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate ABA and behavioral social emotional services for students with Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Emotional and other related developmental disabilities within the home as a result of IEP Teams recommendations

2. Supervise the fidelity of ABA services provided by the Autism Home Services Support Personnel on a weekly basis

3. Evaluate the performance of Autism Home Services Support Personnel

4. Consult with supervising BCBA on ABA programming development

5. Provide ongoing training and professional development in the area of applied behavior analysis in collaboration with school based BCBAs

6. Provide training, support, and consultation with families/caregivers of students based on a caseload, scheduling as well as hold clinic meetings as needed

7. Provide ongoing consultation with teams (e.g., parents, teachers, itinerants, specialists, administration)

8. Develop and monitor the implementation of systematic instructional ABA and behavioral intervention programs for students

9. Complete, or supervise Autism Home Services Support Personnel completion of formal assessments (e.g., ABLLS-R, VB-Mapp, Functional Behavior Assessments)etc., to assist in the development of home programs

10. Collaborate with district BCBA to administer functional behavioral assessments and develop behavior intervention support plans

11. Review program book to ensure ongoing data collection and monitoring of data to develop and/or recommend program changes

12. Participate and contribute to weekly, monthly and long-range planning with the classroom teacher and/or ABA Coordinator/Supervisor necessary to generalize student learning based on ABA instructional activities.

13. Assisting the ABA Home Services Coordinator to foster greater understanding within the school-community by means of on-going communications with school personnel, students, and parents.

14. Maintain a valid certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) which includes physical capabilities to assist with protective holds and student escorts.

15. Complete scheduled on-going professional development to ensure the quality of instruction and support provided.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's Degree

2. Four years of successful experience providing ABA/clinical services and/or special education teaching experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders/ social emotional and developmental disabilities in a school/home setting

3. CPI Certification

4. Ability to monitor the implementation of Behavior Intervention Support Plans of students developed by the BCBA. This includes collecting daily behavior data and clinical notes to be reported on progress reports which may be used to develop goals and objectives for IEPs.

5. Ability to supervision ABA techniques including, but not limited to, discrete trials, adaptive skills (e.g., toileting, feeding, before or after school routines), task analysis, natural environment teaching, and social skills training. This also includes following appropriate prompt hierarchies such as verbal and physical hierarchies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Board Certified Behavior Analyst

2. Strong computer literacy abilities.

3. Working knowledge of special education regulations and process

4. Ability to speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Albanian, Portuguese or an African language

5. Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition

6. Full ELL /SEI Endorsement

SALARY: Annual Salary range not to exceed $55,000 - $65,000 [Based on experience]
WORK YEAR: 225 days

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule and hours to supervise Home ABA Specialist, evening and
weekend hours as needed may also include vacation weeks.
