The Director of Business Optimization
The Director of Business Optimization will provide dynamic leadership and effective management of growth and expansion company initiatives that are cross-functional in nature, but have a core in Education. This requires a deep level of understanding around the company's growth strategies, both organic and through school expansions and new builds, plus the ability to conceptualize and drive action plans to achieve growth goals as they relate to our education mission and value proposition.
The successful Director will be very knowledgeable about the private provider/education industry and its similarity to the retail environment. As such, he/she will be conversant in business case development and strategic planning around new ventures and innovations, including the gathering and analysis of data through digital tools that enable informed decision-making. He/she will apply this to partnering within the Education Department and its leadership as well across the company in partnership with Finance, Operations, Marketing, IT, HR and other areas, to achieve customer satisfaction and enrollment/retention goals, the reduction of teacher and school leader turnover, and other success metrics.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as child center director or manager of early childhood programming in public or private setting OR management in retail environment required
  • Minimum 5-7 years in a management role dependent on cross-functional coordination and execution
  • Teaching experience, especially with young children is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financials and build business cases to support investments and project developments.
  • Excellence in budget management, project management, and process building and flows.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate with and relate to all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient computer and internet research skills.
  • Proficient in database management and analysis.
  • Strong skill set as a self-starter, creative thinker, project manager, leader and innovator.
