One Year Appointment through the end of the school year

We are seeking a licensed teacher to work as a classroom teacher in the Learning Skills program with students in grades 4-5.

General responsibilities include the ability to:
  • Analyze data to inform instruction and improve student performance
  • Work collaboratively in environments including co-teaching and intensive skills development
  • Collaborate with school personnel, parents and community agencies in order to improve the quality of student outcomes, develop solutions, plan curriculum, collect data and create Individual Education Programs (IEP) for students
  • Certification in Wilson, Orton Gillingham, LiPS, or other phonics based reading program
  • Experience implementing reading comprehension programs
  • Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technology, to increase student learning and confidence
  • Prepare students for success on state testing
  • Modify/adapt materials and instructional lessons to meet the specific needs of students
  • Provide classroom staff with resources, tools, and modeling of techniques
  • Present evidence of student progress toward goals and objectives through regular progress reports & team meetings
  • Offer activities and instruction that will allow students of all levels to successfully engage in instruction using the Common Core standards as a framework


Job Requirements
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Must hold MA DESE Special Education (Moderate Disabilities Pre K-8) licensure and Elementary Education (Grades 1-6)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
