Office Manager

Position Summary:  The Office Manager provides administrative support to the campus, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the campus main office. The Office Manager will also support Administrators and/or staff with a wide variety of duties, as assigned, including management of calendars and appointments, public relations, ensuring accurate attendance follow-up, reporting and documentation in regard to assigned building, and providing general clerical support, information and/or direction as requested.

Spanish speaker preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Performs diverse managerial responsibilities within areas and limits of authority as delegated by school principal.
  • Performs a wide variety of secretarial work, including typing/word processing, proofreading, filing, recording information, and processing and distribution of all correspondence, much of which is a confidential nature.
  • Manages copiers, work flow and repairs.
  • Manages staff attendance and secures substitutes and class coverage when needed. Manages sub folders to ensure they are complete and up to date.
  • Serves as a major program information resource person, acting as liaison between schools, department, home office, and other locations. Dispenses pertinent information and direction to students, parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Composes independently or in accordance with general instruction, correspondence on a wide range of subjects requiring knowledge of procedures and policies of the school, district, or assigned area. Including campus communication with parents (robo-calls, distribution mailings or newsletters).
  • Exercises diplomacy in answering questions and resolves situations involving students, parents, volunteers, public, site staff and district personnel through knowledge of school policies and general district rules and regulations.
