POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Intermediate District 287 is seeking qualified candidates for various Vocational Teacher positions located at Hennepin Technical College - Eden Prairie Campus. This class is accountable for instruction and supervision in vocational and occupational subjects to a group of students in such areas as automotive mechanics and auto body, culinary arts, food service or medical careers.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
General Experience: High School graduation or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and eight (8) years of employment and/or teaching experience in the subject field.

Substitution Allowed: College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.

Special Experience: Incumbents in this class must meet the Minnesota Department of Education requirements to receive initial educator certificate to teach Vocational Education.

Licensures, Certifications and Other Requirements:
A current vocational license in Vehicle Services issued by the Minnesota Department of Education is required. In addition, some occupational clusters require industry certification. Based upon work experience, applicant may qualify for a Community Expert License.
