Job Description
Anticipated Opening for 2018-19

The Randolph Community Middle School Mathematics Teacher will facilitate student success in academic and interpersonal skills through academic courses of study and implement district approved curriculum, documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals.

The ideal candidate will:

-Collaborate with school personnel, parents and various community agencies for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum.
-Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
-Promote equity and appreciation of diversity
-Maintain classroom management in accordance with PBIS expectations
-Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement
-Plan and deliver effective instruction
-Use subject matter knowledge requirements specific for Middle School Math Teachers consistent with the MA Common Core Standards to provide students with additional targeted math supports.
-Differentiate the presentation of math content using a variety of materials to a diverse group of learners.
-Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Building Principal

Terms: 182 days consistent with the Randolph Education Association (REA) collective bargaining agreement
Salary: Consistent with the REA salary schedule. Position Type: Full-time

    Job Requirements
    -Massachusetts Teacher License in Mathematics, 5-8 with SEI Endorsement
    -Experience working with middle school age students in a diverse, multi-cultural academic setting
    -Must like working with middle school students
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Master degree preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
