TITLE: Child Nutrition Services General Worker - Temporary for the remainder of SY 2017-2018


LOCATION: W. T. Chipman Middle School

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent.

REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Services Manager

JOB GOAL: To provide each student with food of high nutritious quality in an atmosphere of cleanliness, cheerfulness, and personal caring.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Prepares, portions, and/or serves food according to established standards which includes standardized recipes and/or Prepares, uses, and cleans dishmachine/dishroom according to established standards.
  2. Assists in accurately maintaining daily records and reports for production and inventory.
  3. Practices procedures which assure established safety and sanitation standards are met.
  4. Follows through with job requirements in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  5. Incorporates time-saving work techniques and merchandises effectively.
  6. Participates in implementing cost containment measures while maintaining high quality meals and service.
  7. Attends job-related training classes and workshops.
  8. Promotes student and staff satisfaction by merchandising and serving meals in an appetizing and attractive manner.
  9. Can lift and carry 25 pounds dead weight a minimum of 50 feet.
  10. Performs other duties assigned that relate to Child Nutrition Services general worker responsibilities.

TERMS OF EMPOLYMENT: Ten-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
