An IT Technician's goal is to take direction from other educational technology team members to properly maintain and support IT systems and networks for the school. Work with users on technical needs to provide solutions when possible and escalate as needed. Must have technical knowledge of IT Systems. Must be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. Must also be customer service oriented and patience to handle stressful situations. An IT technician should be eager to develop technical skills and learn new technologies.

Technology Literacy: Web site development, iPad, eDoctrina, Google Docs, Promethian Boards and Smart Boards, PC, MAC

Additional Job Information: Minimum Qualifications
-BS/BA in IT, computer science or relevant field preferred
-1+ years of experience working as an IT Technician or relevant position
-Basic knowledge of Apple and Windows operating systems
-Experience with basic networking (IPv4, DHCP, LAN, WAN, WiFi)
-Experience with email support of Microsoft, Apple and Chrome workstation, laptop, and mobile devices
-Willing to learn numerous IT items such as: Desktop, Laptops, Mobile devices, Microsoft Office, GSuite for Education, Virus Protection, File share permissions, Backup software and Strategies, TCP/IP Networking, IPv4, DHCP, LAN, WAN, WiFi, Static IP, Network Printing, Active Directory, VPN, Firewall Rules, Vlans, DNS, Group Policy, PowerShell, Exchange, Sharepoint, SQL, Virtualization, Server Replication, Business Continuity Strategies, Security Policies and Procedures
-Certifications will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Security+ and Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, CCNA, Google Administrator)
-Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks, time-management skills required
-Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
-Ability to work a 40-hour week
-Valid driver's license and insurance
-Must pass a thorough background check
