Tutors work with students and focus on specific objectives as well as provide additional practice, guidance, and one-on-one attention.

Responsibilities:

• Work 10 hours per week with struggling students
• Deliver focused, guided practice in specified content areas
• Meet with core teachers weekly to decide on objectives to be taught
• Abide by all IDEA campus rules and regulations
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in college or have a bachelors degree
• Must have at least 30 college credit hours
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Knowledge of IDEA Public Schools' mission, core values, and goals and how they relate to the needs of students, their families, and the surrounding community
• Prior experience working with students
• Knowledge of subject assigned
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative problem solving and team skills
