At least three years successful classroom teaching experience in either a regular or gifted education setting as well as a degree or endorsement in gifted education are preferred.
Gifted Resource Teachers are expected to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, assist classroom teachers in providing compacted, accelerated, and differentiated curriculum, instruction, and assessment for intellectually gifted students, support gifted visual arts, gifted dance education students, and other artistically gifted students; plan and conduct professional learning activities, develop and manage program communication, assist in the screening and referral processes, and work collaboratively with parents of gifted and talented students.
