Bachelor's Degree in education with appropriate subject area. Must have North Carolina certification or credentials to attain NC certification. The State of NC requires that teachers work 120 days to receive actual credit towards their teaching credentials. For all Instructional positions hired AFTER December 5, 2017, the position will end as of June 12, 2018.

1. Reasoning/Decision Making: Ability to apply logical thinking or reasoning to define and administer effective lesson plans and course objectives; to interpret technical instructions and school system policies and procedures; and to maintain curriculum guidelines or requirements as established by the State and school system.
2. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with principals, co-workers, students and parents; to solve problems involving sensitivity or conflict; and ability to use and apply methods of effective instruction, including lecture and demonstration.

3. Classroom Management Skills
Ability to ensure good student behavior, effective study and work habits, and an overall sense of respect in the classroom.
