Huntley Community School District 158 is a destination school district located in the far Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Serving 9,600 students in pre-K through 12, Huntley 158 is recognized as a national leader in providing innovative offerings to best serve the needs of students. The fastest-growing school district in Illinois during the 2000s, Huntley 158 is now an anchor of the vibrant Huntley community, which continues to grow in population, industry, and lifestyle.

The District has kept pace with its growth through smart building design, pioneering the “campus” concept by constructing three campuses to house its nine buildings, seven of which are Energy Star certified. After the completion of a $35 million, state-funded renovation and addition project in 2016, the 3,000+ students of Huntley High School now study in an environment fully tailored to the needs of today's learners. 

Huntley 158 has gained national recognition for its innovative academic programs, which aim to provide the best preparation for the colleges and careers of tomorrow. The District has the largest K-12 1:1 implementation in Illinois, and HHS's Alpha Courses Blended Learning program has been featured in several national media outlets for revolutionizing the way more than two-thirds of HHS students learn.

Huntley's Medical Academy is the largest provider of Project Lead the Way Biomedical courses in Illinois and offers students a unique opportunity to serve medical residencies alongside medical professionals at the new Centegra Hospital-Huntley. Engineering, Fine Arts, and Global Studies Academies offer students specialized preparation for futures in those fields. 

Huntley 158 is among 96 national members of Digital Promise's League of Innovative Schools and in 2017 was listed by Getting Smart as one of the country's top 100 “schools worth visiting” for educators. In addition, the District has regularly been recognized among the Washington Post's Most Challenging High Schools in America, the College Board's AP Honor Roll, and the Midwest PBIS Network's Platinum-level honorees. HHS hosts a College Fair recognized by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling and in 2017 was named an Illinois Democracy School by the McCormick Foundation.
