Network Administrator

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Under limited supervision, performs network administration & planning for all aspects of IT-network infrastructure - to include network equipment, servers, and software applications. Brings in reliable, durable, and cost-effective solutions for all IT related needs.

Chief Operating Officer

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS preferably in computer-related field or computer-related technical school;
  • Five to Seven year(s) of IT systems experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • IT and Systems
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
  • Meet with school leaders to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
  • Manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
  • Monitor computer systems budgets and expenditures
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating systems
  • Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
  • Train staff about potential uses of existing technology
  • Provide individual training and support on request
  • Maintain all network hardware and software (including: servers, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
  • Perform routine server monitoring and performance benchmarking
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and the Chief Operating Officer

  • Ability to lift up and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
