Network Administrator
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under limited supervision, performs network administration & planning for all aspects of IT-network infrastructure - to include network equipment, servers, and software applications. Brings in reliable, durable, and cost-effective solutions for all IT related needs.
REPORTS TO
Chief Operating Officer
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS preferably in computer-related field or computer-related technical school;
- Five to Seven year(s) of IT systems experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
RESPONSIBILITIES
- IT and Systems
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
- Meet with school leaders to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
- Manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
- Monitor computer systems budgets and expenditures
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating systems
- Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
- Train staff about potential uses of existing technology
- Provide individual training and support on request
- Maintain all network hardware and software (including: servers, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
- Perform routine server monitoring and performance benchmarking
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and the Chief Operating Officer

- Well organized with good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
