Position Summary
The Business Analyst Intern role is an opportunity to learn from and contribute to working software used by millions of students. Guidance, collaboration, and oversight will be provided by appropriate manager(s) and more senior level Business Analysts. The Business Analyst Intern role will contribute directly to requirements discovery efforts, will work closely with other analysts on the team to deliver the requirements to software teams, and to ensure that business value is provided by the released software

Responsibilities
BA Planning and Monitoring
• Assist Business Analysts in planning analysis approaches; will identify own work tasks
• Adhere to organization and team standards.
Elicitation
• Schedule meetings at the request of other analysts
• Document meeting minutes, including requirements, decisions and action items.
• Facilitate meetings as requested, with supervision.
Requirements Management and Communication
• Document requirements changes and traceability, with supervision.
• Communicate requirements changes to stakeholders, with supervision
Enterprise Analysis
• Provide support for enterprise analysis activities, with supervision
Requirements Analysis
• Document requirements, assumptions and constraints, with supervision.
• Use approved tools and templates for requirements documentation.
Solution Assessment and Validation
• Work with stakeholders to validate that the solution meets the business need, with supervision.

Education and Experience
• Must have proven ability to grasp NWEA processes and apply basic business analyst skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment, with supervision.
• Must have proven experience and skills in communication (oral and written).
• Basic understanding of the practice of business analysis and industry standards.
• Pre-existing knowledge of NWEA's core business highly desirable.
• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in the field of business analysis, accounting, business administration, management information systems or computer science is preferred
