   Tredyffrin/Easttown School District is accepting applications for the position of Secretary to the Assistant Principal at Conestoga High School. The position is 12 months per year, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Candidates must possess excellent computer and communication skills. Two years of secretarial experience is preferred. Starting - $18.30/Regular - $18.50 or $23.79 for Current TENIG employees hired prior to July 1, 2014

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma (post-secondary education preferred)Two years secretarial experience preferred.Competence in use of varied technology word processing, database and spreadsheet programs and email.Superb command of verb and written communication skillsProficient knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of basic office equipmentExcellent interpersonal skills and punctualityAbility to relate to the public in a busy work environmentAbility to work effectively with othersExcellent organizational skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to take initiative and complete tasksReliability in handling confidential information

Performance Responsibilities:
  1. Provide administrative secretarial support to the Assistant Principal.Regular attendance.Obtains, gathers and organizes pertinent data as needed and puts into usable forms; types reports as requested.Files correspondence, reports, or other records in a prescribed manner; classifies and cross-indexes materials, labels folders and envelopes; cleans files.Orders and maintains inventories of supplies as needed.Sorts and distributes all mail.Places and receives telephone calls, records messages, and responds aptly to requests for information.Greets visitors courteously; checks appointments and directs to proper persons; responds to requests accordingly.Interacts with students and parents to assist in addressing needs.Arranges and schedules appointments.Reports immediately the presence in the building of any suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of visitors.Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
