Education and Experience:
Applicant must hold current Ohio teaching license/certificate in Precision Machining/Manufacturing or have five years recent work experience in Precision Machining/Manufacturing with an emphasis in Precision Machining. If candidate does not possess a license or certificate, the candidate must be willing to attend Kent State University for the career technical licensure program.
Experience with both CNC and manual machinery preferred: lathes, horizontal boring mills, planers, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor proper educational environment in the classroom/lab
Follow all policies and procedures of the Youngstown Board of Education
Maintain an active advisory committee that meets at least twice a year
Maintain a database containing job/career placements of all former Career and Technical students
Work cooperatively with all staff members
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have full understanding of all OSHA Safety Rules related to general industry; OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 for general industry preferred.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and or MasterCAM
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principals; green belt or higher preferred
Credentials from NIMS, PMMI, or MSSC preferred
