Elementary Teacher

Applicants must hold a Utah Elementary Teaching Credential, or be able to receive one by September, 2018.

 Plans objectives, curriculum and activities to enhance students abilities to acquire knowledge, comprehend material, apply skills, analyze, synthesize and evaluate. Establishes an environment that stimulates learning. Prepares and maintains an attractive learning environment. Manages available space efficiently. Enriches presentations with audio/ visual materials, bulletin boards, and displays.  Entertainment films are to be avoided as part of classroom instruction. Prepares and follows daily, unit and weekly lesson plans. Utilizes a variety of instructional strategic (continued)   materials and methods for skill development appropriate to students abilities, ages and grade level. (Media, technology, field trips, demonstrations, lab experiments, community resources and related materials, etc.).

Applicants must be able torelate positively to students, parents and peers.Takes part in professionally related activities (i.e., PTA, faculty meetings, parent conferences, inservice, etc.). Is able to solve professionally related problems independently (i.e. student related, peer related, etc.). Establishes effective communication (i.e., administrators, students, parents, peers, etc.). Utilizes planning and consulting time for preparing lessons, correcting papers and other professional purposes. Accepts necessary student related responsibilities outside the classroom as directed by principal and Board Policy. Works closely with parents. Performs necessary clerical responsibilities (i.e. attendance record, lesson plans, report cards, IEP, SEOP, etc.).Reports student performance effectively.
