POSITION SUMMARY:
The Performance Data Manager (Office of Innovation) for the Office of Innovation is responsible for the department's analysis and reporting of charter and partner school data to Senior Cabinet. The incumbent monitors each school's adherence to its contract, to state law, rules and regulations and, policy and collects, manages, and analyzes district charter and partner school data, including comparative district and state analysis along with developing, implementing, and maintaining the district's performance management process for all schools supported by the Office of Innovation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Leads the reporting compliance efforts of the department and ensures that all district charter and partnership schools meet compliance deadlines.
  • Reports all issues of non-compliance to the Executive Director Office of Innovation.
  • Provides all required data for contract renewals and the evaluation of new and existing charter and partner schools.
  • Maintains a data base for compliance tracking.
  • Monitors each charter school's adherence to its charter, to state law, rules and regulations and policy.
  • Works closely with the APS Data & Information Group (DIG) on all data projects involving charter and partnership schools.
  • Provides data and analysis to the DIG as needed.
  • Develops, compiles and publishes the Annual Charter School Report and the annual Partnership School Report.
  • Analyzes significant charter and partnership school innovations and makes recommendations to the Executive Director of the Office Innovation for replication.
  • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated.
  • Serves as a thought partner for charter and partnership schools regarding data analysis and reporting.
  • Provides needed data and prepares reports for charter and partnership schools.
  • Supports junior Innovation Team members in the use of data to inform decision making.
  • Develops, implements and maintains the Office of Innovation's performance management process.
  • Provides all required data for charter renewals and the evaluation of new and existing charter schools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.


Requirements: EDUCATION:
  • Master's degree in Economics, Policy Analysis, Statistics, or other related field required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
  • NONE
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Three (3) years relevant experience analyzing K-12 district or state education data.
  • Five (5) or more years of related experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Strong working knowledge of K-12 education data.
  • Ability to clean, merge and analyze divergent data sets.
  • Knowledgeable of quantitative methods, statistical methodologies and data visualization.
  • Applied knowledge of data systems common to the educational setting (eg, student information systems, student assessment data, teacher evaluation data, etc).
  • Proficient in the use of Stata, R, SPSS and other statistical software.
  • Project management, analytical and strong critical thinking skills required.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.


Compensation: Salary Grade: 133

Salary Range: $75, 798 to $104, 223

Work Days: 254 Days (Annual)

FLSA Status: Exempt
