Implements, operates and supports CCPS enterprise systems.  Analyzes the operating environment and develops creative solutions to the most complex technical issues.  Serves as the lead analyst for the school division's virtual and student information system servers.  Communicates and interacts across boundaries with all levels of staff to ensure a high level of support, information exchange and project coordination.
 
Essential Job Functions:

• Supports the following enterprise systems:
  • Physical and virtual server infrastructure
  • Student information system servers
  • Software distribution infrastructure
  • Anti-virus, anti-spam
  • Enterprise storage, backup, and archival infrastructure
• Ensures optimal operational status for all server equipment operating the student information system.  This includes hardware and server software to ensure 24/7 access.
• Provide team leadership in the management of virtual server arrays.
• Implements and maintain appropriate monitoring systems 
• Tests, schedules and distributes system and security updates to workstations and servers
• Manages and administers Active Directory in coordination with Lead MCAs and Operations Analysts.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Considerable knowledge of computer hardware; of the current Windows operating systems and server environments.  Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision within established guidelines and procedures.  Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.  Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot the most technically complex hardware and software problems and to pursue all avenues to ensure problem resolution.  
Requirements:
Five years of experience as enterprise systems analyst and managing virtual server environments.  Must possess work experience in network administration including managing firewalls, LAN, DNS, etc.  and at least five years of experience in managing Microsoft operating systems, and Active Directory applications.  Must have thorough knowledge of server back-up and restoration procedures.
