    District 65 is looking for a dynamic, Spanish speaking, instructional leader to become the next principal of Dr. Bessie Rhodes Magnet School School of Global Studies. Nestled in a residential neighborhood in Skokie, this school serves children in grades K-8. Next year, Dr. Bessie Rodes Magnet School will see the addition of two Kindergarten Two-Way Immersion (TWI) classrooms. TWI is a dual language program that allows English-speaking children and Spanish language speakers to learn together in the same classroom. The goals of the TWI program include: academic achievement for all students, high levels of bilingualism and biliteracy in both English and Spanish, and increased cultural competence. The TWI program at Rhodes will continue to expand over the next several years. We are looking for a leader who will embrace the TWI program and work collaboratively with students, staff, and families to navigate this change and enhance the school's focus on global studies.
