The Scout Aquatic Club (SCT) is looking for a part time senior coach. The position is available beginning September 10th. The senior program is made up of swimmers 13 years old to 18 who range in ability from novice through Junior National qualifier. We are seeking a motivated and energetic person who can work with swimmers of all abilities within the group.
SCT operates out of the Lake Forest High School pool, an 8-lane 40 yard pool with a movable bulkhead as well as an outdoor 50-meter pool during the summer. SCT is a year round program and has grown to over 200 swimmers this year with strong support from both the school district and a tremendous parent organization.
Senior Coach responsibilities include:
Qualifications: Applicants must have previous coaching and/or high level swimming experience, with ASCA certified coaches preferred, and hold or be willing to obtain the following certifications: Coaches Safety Training, CPR and First Aid (as is required to obtain USA Swimming Coaching credentials). A background check will be required by USA swimming as well as athlete protection training.
Compensation: This is an hourly position and the rate will commensurate with experience. SCT will also cover the costs of required certifications and USA Swimming membership.

Senior Coach responsibilities include:
- Work with a variety swimmers on a daily basis. (abilities)Lead and teach swimmers stronger technical and training skills.Hours of work will consist of 3-5 evenings a week and Saturday Mornings. Weekend meets as needed.Practices are held in the evenings and Saturday afternoons.The senior coach reports directly to the Head Coach and Club Director.
