Atlanta Public Schools is accepting online resumes from highly qualified middle school English teaching candidates for the 2018-2019 school year who are innovative, enthusiastic and looking for the opportunity to prepare students for a successful future.

Performance Responsibilities:
- Instructs students through lectures- discussions- visual aids- and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension
- Prepares lessons and outlines to use in class that effectively cover the material
- Administers various types of assessments to monitor students' performance- behavior and other issues
- Attends faculty meetings and training sessions
- Adheres to local- state- and national testing procedures

Requirements: Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required with at least a 2.5 GPA

Certification/ Licenses:
- Minimum of a T4-Certification in Middle Grades English (4-8) or (6-12)

-Passed the GACE Program Admission Assessment or have exemption eligibility (ACT/SAT scores)and passed the GACE in Middle Grades English (4-8) or (6-12) AND GACE Educator Ethics Program Entry
