The United Schools Network (USN) is a nonprofit organization in Columbus, Ohio, that starts and manages urban public charter schools that close the opportunity gap. The network includes two high-performing middle schools, a high-performing elementary school, and launched a second elementary school in the fall of 2017. We are seeking an Office Manager to join our network at United Preparatory Academy-Main St.

    Joining Our Team
    United Preparatory Academy will consider hiring a full-time Office Manager who:
      Oversees the day-to-day activities of the school and serves as the main point of contact in the school reception area. Manages phones including answering calls, re-directing calls, taking messages, placing calls, managing the One-Call system for school-wide messages, etc. Manages mail including distributing mail, preparing school mailings, making mail drops, etc. Manages the collection and maintenance of student and school information including receiving forms and paperwork, tracking missing forms, managing databases, updating contact information, keeping records current, etc. Manages school-wide daily systems including student attendance. Helps to plan and manage the logistics of school events and activities as needed. Helps to organize staff meetings, staff retreats, and annual evaluations. Greets and documents all visitors. Coordinates on-site components of the school financial systems such as purchase orders, payroll records, grant reports, and financial forms. Manages school maintenance and supply systems including the organization of supplies, materials, equipment and general administrative needs. Maintains office equipment and furnishings. Maintains a school calendar of events. Manages the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs and the food services at the school. Establishes and implements a system for tracking all relevant student personal and academic information using the school's student information system.
    • Completes other duties as assigned by the School Director and Operations Director.

    Experience & Qualifications
    United Preparatory Academy will consider hiring a full-time Office Manager who:

Is open to feedback, will take personal responsibility for the operation of the school, and has the ability to learn from one's mistakes. Has the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Displays maturity and ability to work independently under pressure. Has an entrepreneurial spirit. Has personal and professional integrity. Has technological proficiency using Google and Office products. Has at least two years of office related experience in an education agency (preferred). Holds a B.A./B.S. degree (preferred).

    Terms of Employment
    This position will begin on or about February 5, 2018, however candidates will be considered immediately. Compensation is competitive; the Office Manager is eligible to participate in either Ohio's State Teacher Retirement System or School Employee Retirement System.
