About this role....

As NWEA's Test and Data Security Manager, you will comprehensively understand, document and evaluate the security of confidential test items and data throughout their lifecycle across multiple departments. You will collaborate with all business units to understand and assess current and potential test security risk areas across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Privacy under the Corporate Services Legal group, you will be an individual contributor and work with a talented team of Enterprise Information Security Engineers, as well as Audit & Risk.

Your next challenge...
Serving as an integral team member of the Information Security team, you will have influence and input across the entire organization with the following responsibilities:
• Develop and implement secure data management solutions to ensure test data is accessible to those that need it, with appropriate security controls that enable proper segmentation, monitoring, alerting and prevention of data loss
• Collaborate with Enterprise Information Security Team, Audit and the Legal team to help establish and ensure adherence to security policies
• Develop and maintain policy documentation that follow test data across multiple processes and collaborate with third party providers to ensure the proper controls are maintained throughout the lifecycle of the data. Specifically, work among applicable teams in implementing the Test Security Policy, the Test Security Handbook, and activity around prevention, deterrence, detection, mitigation, and investigation in collaboration with the Enterprise Information Security Team

Education and experience...
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Minimum 7 years' progressively responsible work experience in Information and/or test security
• Training in test publishing, information security, assessment, and operations preferred
• Experience managing data and overall work process, including the development of systems to track and coordinate projects
• Familiarity with Information Security best practices and or standards, including but not limited to network security and segmentation, data encryption, and monitoring and alerting practices is preferred. Familiarity with information security audits and US state and federal privacy laws preferred
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

The Enterprise Information Security team, led by the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Security in cooperation with the Privacy Director, is a segment of the Corporate Services Legal group. This team of security experts addresses the overall security of the organization and its products and services by implementing and maintaining NWEA's technical security objectives and requirements while staying abreast of the latest security threats and incorporating risk management strategies.
