Tucker HS Principal Position

Dekalb County Schools is located to the northeast quadrant of downtown Atlanta, Georgia and has nearly 102,000 students in 135 schools and centers.

In 1918, a three-room Tucker High School graduated its first class. The school now serves over 1500 students representing 35 different nationalities. Throughout its long history, Tucker's faculty and students have carried on a tradition of excellence in both scholarship and athletics.

Tucker offers a challenging curriculum that addresses the needs of all students including an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, 18 advanced placement course, a business industry certification program and a rich offering of athletics, fine arts, and extra curricular activities.  Over 90% of seniors attend postgraduate programs. The athletic program and music programs have won many team and individual state recognitions. 
 

The parent community is supportive and engaged. The Tucker’s Habitat for Humanity Chapter that has been recognized as one of the top high school chapters in the nation.  The school enjoys many business partnerships and has a very strong Tucker High School Education Foundation that supports teachers and students.
