Jennings is home to the elementary grades of the district's new K-12 Language and Culture Pathway. It houses the district's Dual Language Program (Adelante) in which content instruction is delivered in both Spanish and English, and a traditional general education track in which instruction is delivered in English. The Spanish Component Teacher will partner with the English Component Teacher to deliver Dual Language instruction to two classes of students in that Grade. Bilingual Elementary Education certification (902) and proficiency in Spanish are required.

QUALIFICATIONS: State of CT Certification (902) requirements or eligible for CT Certification.

REPORTS TO: Principal or designee

SUPERVISES: Teacher aides and volunteers assigned
