Job Details
Under general supervision, The Non-Public Transaction Analyst will process, compile, and track information for a variety of programs, including private schools, special education, among others.
The Non-Public Transaction Analyst will be held accountable for the following:
In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Transaction Analyst must process the following qualifications:
Education:
High school degree or equivalent.
Experience:
Proficiency in Oracle iProcurement System and Oracle Financial Systems highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Additional Notes:
The Non-Public Transaction Analyst will be held accountable for the following:
- Be familiar with the various Oracle systems currently in use and be able to adapt to new/modified systems as implemented.
- Monitor fiscal records and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Process purchase order payments to/on behalf of charter and non-public schools.
- Input and extract data from CPS systems quickly, accurately and efficiently.
- Review, process and prepare financial reports for review by supervisory staff.
- Communicate with school, vendor and others regarding payroll, purchase orders, invoices, payments, reimbursements, and the like.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with schools, central office departments, and other constituencies.
- Be committed to and passionate about working in the public sector and in the education field.
- Perform related duties as required and other duties as assigned

Experience:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Moderate technology skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- Strong organizational systems and skills.
Additional Notes:
- CPS employees are required to be actual residence of the City of Chicago within six months of beginning employment, and are required to maintain Chicago residency throughout employment.
