Transaction Analyst, Non-Public

Under general supervision, The Non-Public Transaction Analyst will process, compile, and track information for a variety of programs, including private schools, special education, among others.

The Non-Public Transaction Analyst will be held accountable for the following:

• Be familiar with the various Oracle systems currently in use and be able to adapt to new/modified systems as implemented.
• Monitor fiscal records and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Process purchase order payments to/on behalf of charter and non-public schools.
• Input and extract data from CPS systems quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Review, process and prepare financial reports for review by supervisory staff.
• Communicate with school, vendor and others regarding payroll, purchase orders, invoices, payments, reimbursements, and the like.
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with schools, central office departments, and other constituencies.
• Be committed to and passionate about working in the public sector and in the education field.
• Perform related duties as required and other duties as assigned

In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Transaction Analyst must process the following qualifications:

Education:

High school degree or equivalent.

Experience:

Proficiency in Oracle iProcurement System and Oracle Financial Systems highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Moderate technology skills;
• Ability to work independently;
• Strong organizational systems and skills.

• CPS employees are required to be actual residence of the City of Chicago within six months of beginning employment, and are required to maintain Chicago residency throughout employment.
