Looking to get your foot in the door in some of Vermont's most reputable school districts? The Essex Westford School District(serving Essex Junction, Essex Town, and Westford) is looking for substitute paraeducators to work on an "as needed" basis providing instructional, behavioral, social skills, and/or personal care support to special needs students, and/or classroom support within our technical programs. All grade levels available. Minimum of an Associates degree preferred. Individuals without an associates degree may be considered if they have several years of experience working with children with special needs, or they have industry certification (e.g. licensed Cosmetologists, licensed Dental Assistants, etc.). Short-term substitute paraeducator pay rate is $105.00/day with a valid teaching license or completion of the Introductory Teacher Training course offered by Frontline Education. Individuals who have experience working with children with special needs are encouraged to apply.

As a condition of employment, all selected applicants must complete the requirements for a criminal background check and registry checks. The cost of the checks shall be the responsibility of the applicant. All offers of employment (or continued employment) shall be conditioned upon satisfactory background check results.
