Special Education Teachers Job Summary: The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) believes that professional educators are the cornerstone of our mission to prepare Hawaii's students for college, career and community. **Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree required; Completion of a state approved teacher education program preferredLicense: Individuals in possession of a Hawaii teaching license issued by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB) are preferred and will be given priority consideration. Individuals who do not possess a Hawaii teaching license issued by HTSB must pursue a license upon hire and obtain an Emergency Hire Permit until such time a license can be issued.
