The Blind Brook Rye Union Free School District is located 30 miles from New York City in the Village of Rye Brook. The district seeks a strong, dedicated, charismatic leader who has a robust educational background. Instilling “integrity as a core value and influencing our students to be ethical and responsible members of society” is crucial to this community.

The district prides itself on the “ability to deliver a world-class education in a small school setting.” Candidates must be hands-on, communicate effectively, and know how to keep people accountable. They must continue to encourage “students to be curious, compassionate, and strong in their ability to face challenges.”

Educating 1,300 students and preparing them to be “reflective, adaptable citizens with an open world view” is key for the next Superintendent. This well-spoken leader should be visible in the schools and in the community and possess the capacity to inspire teamwork.

Candidates must possess or be eligible for New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or New York State School District Leader (SDL) certification.

The salary and benefits range is $250,000-$310,000.
