Old Bridge District Schools offer a rigorous curriculum that spans core subject areas and multiple and varied electives. Old Bridge Township Public School District is a 42-square mile suburban school district located at the southern end of Middlesex County, in central New Jersey.  The district has a total daytime student enrollment of just under 8,000 pupils, and students are housed in a pre-kindergarten annex, eleven elementary schools grades K-5, two middle schools grades 6-8, and a single campus high school with a separate facility for 9th graders. Old Bridge High School ranks among the largest high schools in the state.

We are a national district of character comprised of a diverse international community located approximately thirty miles from New York City in central New Jersey. Unique to our school district is our location combined with the ethnic diversity of our student body. The district boasts a diverse population of English learners with over 180 students currently enrolled representative of varied backgrounds. Our statistics show a 16% Asian population, 8% African American population, 13% Hispanic population, 5% Native America/Multiethnic/Pacific Islander population and 58% Caucasian population. The Special Services department works to develop individualized plans in order to meet all students' needs throughout the year. Using a collaborative approach, students with special needs are offered specialized services such as Speech, PT, OT or other one-to-one programs, while providing integrated classroom settings for maximum inclusion. The high school provides a rich, comprehensive program, combining academic areas of ELA, Math, World Language, Science and Social Studies along with Humanities and Career/technical subjects as requirements for graduation. Within the Humanities, Old Bridge places emphasis on the arts, with a nationally and internationally recognized band, high level fine arts and graphic arts courses, a full-service cosmetology program and a state-of-the-art art auto shop for authentic learning experiences.

Old Bridge is a comprehensive school district with multiple avenues that can be followed, offering students the opportunity to excel not only in the traditional academic areas but also in careers and technology. In addition, the school district offers an honors program geared to challenge students who show promise for any particular subject area. Additionally, all academic paths lead to Advanced Placement options, offering students opportunities to offset college course loads upon high school graduation.

Jonas Salk Middle School and Carl Sandburg Middle School provide the foundation for students as they progress into the Old Bridge High School. They are comprised of 6th through 8th grade populations with 900 and 975 students respectively. Each school offers teaching teams, with a focus on collaborative instructional methodology with integration of block scheduling. The middle schools focus on building core subject strength and introduce a variety of introductory elective subjects which foster a greater demand for diversity in the high school.

Our elementary schools lead the way for future growth in all areas of arts, business and sciences. Students are offered double periods in core subject areas with emphasis on literacy skills and development, and our Response to Intervention program has been selected as a model for the state of NJ. Students in the elementary schools have access to technology, the arts, music and world language foundation classes. The Challenge Gifted program offers additional enrichment to those who qualify throughout the year.

Beyond the offered academic core areas, Old Bridge offers extracurricular and cultural clubs that represent the diversity of the school community. Students are provided opportunities to participate in athletics, arts and community organizations which foster collaboration among district and township.
